A Guide to Acloset
The Sexiest Closet Organization & Outfit Planning App
Have you ever utilized an app to manage your clothes, style yourself and log your daily outfits?
There are many virtual closet apps which offer you such experiences. We’ve also been using some of those apps to digitize our closet, but we found point of improvement in UX for every one of them. So we’ve studied every one of the virtual closet apps out in the store, to create the sexiest one with a great design and tech. This is a complete introduction to the our app.

Potentials of having a clone of your closet on your phone
If you are often complimented by others that you have a nice style, you might have already noticed what quality makes you a fashionista. Do you have outstandingly more clothes than others? Do you wear a different piece every other day? Quantity matters less here. You would clearly know which piece suits you well — conceal your imperfections and make your advantages stand out. You would also know the combo of pieces that go well together to give you a neat look. Finally, you would know the mood your outfit delivers and how you could express yourself uniquely through your fashion. To have a nice style means no other than knowing the clothes that you own, knowing yourself, and knowing how those two interact and communicate.

When you have a clone of your closet on your phone, you can easily access them whenever you need a reference for your styling. You can take a look at what you already own when you are hanging out in the vendors to shop for new clothes. One of our team members used to write down all the pieces she owned (she named each of them for the differentiation) on a sticky note to know which pieces she had in each section of her wardrobe. Digitizing such a process with an app made everything a lot easier for her, and this time she had pictures to aid her memory.
With our app, all you have to do is take some pictures of your clothes. We’ll do the rest!
We have studied so many apps on the store and noticed that they share some key functions. Users can upload jpg images of their clothes, remove the background, and collage them to create outfit presentations. Some apps supported activities like sharing your outfits to the feed and getting outfit suggestions based on the clothes that you own. Anyways, we found some features that could be automated with technology even for the priciest one in the store.
So, we made our own app with optimized user experiences. We reduced so many bothering steps such as categorization and background removal with our AI technology and user engineering. Though our app needs expansion, we confidently present it to you, telling that you’ll find superior usability compared to any of the existing apps. Our users are loving our app. You will love it too.
Cloning your entire closet online just in 15 minutes
Everyone can follow these o-so-simple steps to make the most of our app. Upload your clothes, create outfits with the automated images of your clothes, and add them on the calendar to keep track of what you wear.
1
Upload images of your clothes.

Hit the [ + ] button on the <clothes> tab. You can either pick them up from your phone gallery, take pictures on our app, or bring it from the web if you shopped them online. We also prepared some essential items like white shirts and tees in a starter closet called “find my basic items” so that you could kick-start your collection.

If you want to get through this fast, we recommend you to take pictures of all your clothes with your default camera app. Place your clothes on any surface — our AI is smart enough to tell the floral prints on your clothes apart from floral prints on your tablecloth. Just prepare as much clothing pictures as possible.

Once gathering all images is done, the rest wouldn’t be a task at all.
2
When you are uploading from the album, you can add up to 10 images at once.

Our AI will remove the background of the images and put it the right information — seasonal wearability, color, category — for you. If the image is clear enough and easily recognizable from vision, our AI will auto-crop the image and classify each one properly.
3

There. Your closet is organized. Don’t worry if you have hundreds of clothes in your wardrobe. We have filter options which allow you to find the wanted item easily.
4

Move on to <outfits> tab. Hit the plus button, and scroll each row to collage your clothes into your loved outfits. Hit <create> and continue the process seamlessly. You can always edit them later.
5
Use our calendar on <Home> tab to get more insights of how you style.

You can log your daily outfits or plan your looks ahead of events. You can find what’s the most worn item and outfit on the stats page.

In case you’re thinking about moving your virtual closet from another app — Acloset is exceptional.
We compared different virtual closet apps popular on the app market with the criteria below:
- Operating system: does it run on your phone?
- Pricing: does it run on a subscription model? Should you pay to use unlimited features?
- Data stored: are the data stored on Cloud so you can access with your account info even if you switch your phone? Or are they stored locally? Can you use the app when you are offline?
- Is the background of the image removed automatically so that you could collage your clothes into a flat-lay? Or are you given an option to remove background manually after uploading?
- Are the categories put in automatically or should you label every clothes by yourself:
- Can you upload multiple images at once to the right category?
- Can you use calendar features?
- Are there further features such as community and feed?

Here’s the summary. If your sole objective is to organize your closet digitally, Stylebook would satisfy you with its minimal functions. If you want help of a professional stylist for daily outfits, Caldwell’s premium membership is your perfect match.
Currently, Acloset lies somewhere between Stylebook and Smart Closet, having everything you’ll need for closet organization but with limited features for fashion community. We have a long list new features to be added, including community and shopping. Keep up with our evolution!
